California Giant Berry Farms, Watsonville, CA

California Giant Berry Farms started small. Cousins Pat Riordan and Bill Moncovich teamed up with best friend Frank Saveria to sell strawberries from a simple trailer in Watsonville, CA. In 1983, they incorporated New West Fruit Corp., shipping strawberries from Watsonville and Santa Maria under the brand “California Giant” since our customers came to expect the biggest and best berries from us. Ten years later, the company began growing in Oxnard, CA which allowed for a steady year-round supply of strawberries. In 2004, California Giant expanded its berry portfolio by growing and shipping conventional and organic blueberries due to increased consumer demand. Raspberries and blackberries were then added to round out the full berry patch. Nearly 40 years later, California Giant Berry Farms has grown into a global family of people passionate about delivering the best strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries.
