Growing wild in Oregon, these chanterelles have yellow/beige caps that range from very small (button-sized) to medium-small. The stems are wite and medium thick. Pacific Northwest Button chanterelles have a slightly damp texture and strong, musty-foresty aroma. Very popular with chefs because one small handful wilts into the ideal sized topping for a piece of fish fillet, tenderloin, pork or chicken.
