About Schoolyard Sugarbush

Baldor sources its maple syrup from Schoolyard Sugarbush in New Hope, New York. For four generations, this family owned and operated business has been producing maple syrup with the same work ethic and commitment to quality. Though the family has modernized their process over the last two decades, the flavor of their finished product continues to reflect the quality standards set by their ancestors.

Every year our maple business has grown and visitors are often amazed by the changes they see. Our first "sugarshack" was large enough for two seasons. In 2011 we tapped 14,000 trees and brought in 400,000 gallons of sap. The average ratio for the season was 53 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of syrup!
