Though it resembles broccoli rabe, Di Ciccio has a much milder flavor more like sweet regular broccoli . It is an heirloom, old-fashioned kind of broccoli consisting of loose stems with florets clinging to them. Grown organically by our friends at County Line Farms in Thermal, California, they should be eaten from stem to tip. Saute in good olive oil with garlic, then add a little stock or water to let them braise until tender.
