Essentially a late season, seedless version of a Murcott tangerine with the same squat shape and smooth skin; easy-peeling, exceptionally juicy flesh. A hybrid citrus developed by U.C. Riverside, tango mandarins have a sweet citrus flavor with mildly sour notes. Tango rinds are rich with citrus oil and very aromatic when pierced or muddled.
