More About This Product1 RELATED ITEMS
Taroccos are the most popular orange in Italy. The pulp is not as saturated with red as the Moro or Sanguinelli varieties, so it's sometimes characterized a 'half-blood' orange. Yet there is a decent amount of maroon striating throughout the flesh. The thin, easy-peeling skin (thinner that California Moros) rarely shows any blushing. Taroccos are tender and juicy, with a light, strawberry-like flavor. Not nearly as zesty as Moros because they have less acid zing, but lovely and refreshing in their own right. The sweetest eating of all the Bloods, Taroccos are perfect segmented on salads.
