Minneola Tangelos also known as "Honeybelles", are a cross between a Dancy tangerine and a Duncan grapefruit) with flavor characteristics more like a tangerine than a grapefruit. They usually show up mid-to-late winter from Florida or California and are bursting with a juice so intensely "orange", it suggests orange liqueur. Minneola skin has a scarlett blush to it and the pulp is dark orange, matching the bold, "dark" flavor and rich aroma. The fruits are large and round with a distinctive bulb at the top.
