Sugarbees, a cross-pollination of the Honeycrisp and another variety (which remains unkown), were developed in the early 1900s in Minnesota, and are now cultivated in Washington state. Sugarbees are a mostly red-skinned variety, with some yellow patches. They're very sweet, crisp and crunchy and hold firm, even when baked.
