Setting Standards in Food Safety

Why it matters

Food safety is at the forefront of our minds. Our state-of-the-art Bronx facility was designed to set new standards in food safety. A highly regulated, SQF Level certified program ensures we only accept the highest quality foods, and keeps our produce fresh during its short stay in our warehouse.

Baldor achieved SQF Level 2 certification in 2014. More and more food processors are becoming GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) certified to meet customer demands. SQF Certification aims to be the most trusted source for global food safety and quality certification and to deliver consistent, globally recognized food safety and quality certification programs based on sound scientific principles. Over 5000 companies worldwide are now SQF certified.

This system includes HACCP certification, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), pre-requisite programs, building management commitment and involvement, a documented system with records control, food safety practices, product identification, traceability and recall processes, site security and food defense processes, allergen management and a training program.
