Ordering Guidelines
Ordering: (Monday thru Saturday)
Orders can be placed between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM Monday through Friday for next day delivery.
After 11:00 PM cut off, our voicemail system is activated, and you may leave an order although it will not be processed and ship until the next business day.
(for Manhattan customers ONLY, please refer to 2nd run option)
(Please no add-ons to existing orders after 11:00 pm).
Wholesale Web Ordering
For wholesale customers that wish to order over the web site--Please contact your sales representative-to set up your account & password for access to our web ordering system-(note: wholesale customers cannot order over the web site without being set up with an account number and a protected password)
Click on Existing Customers tab on the home page top tool bar and follow instructions for web ordering.
On Saturdays you can place orders for the following Monday with a person between 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM, after 3:00 PM our voicemail activates. Orders can be left on the voicemail up until 11:00 PM Sunday night for a Monday delivery.
When
leaving a voicemail please be sure to clearly state your name, the account you are calling from, and the phone number. When leaving your order please be specific in regards to the item you are looking for as we often have many available options under the same category (example: ordering just ‘spinach’ - leaves us to wonder which type to ship of the 8 different spinach’s we stock). Please be very specific.
Fresh Cuts Ordering:
All fresh cut orders for delivery the following day must be placed no later than 5pm.
Deliveries:
Baldor delivers 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday. We strive to make on-time deliveries. To help us achieve this goal, please arrange a delivery window with your salesperson prior to placing your first order. When arranging your first delivery also in form your salesperson of any issues our driver may need to be aware of (i.e. building security, loading dock information, specific delivery entrances, etc).
2nd Runs (same day delivery):
We offer 2nd runs (same day delivery) to customers in Manhattan if you call in your order by 11AM, Monday through Friday only. Please keep in mind that the delivery schedule on these 2nd runs varies on a day-to-day basis, therefore specific delivery time cannot be guaranteed. (Minimum order amount required)
Order Minimums:
Please be advised that we require a minimum order amount of $100.00 for delivery in New York City and the Boston area.
All other areas outside of New York City & Boston require a $150.00 minimum.
Note: If you do not reach the minimum dollar order requirerment, your order will not be shipped.
Receiving your Delivery:
When receiving product we ask that you take special care in regards to the packaging. While it is understood that you often have to see the product before deciding whether you are going to accept or reject it, we request that you not tear or cut open boxes or bags and also that you not discard of the original packaging until you are sure you will be using the product.
Holidays:
Baldor is closed six days a year, in observance of all the major holidays: Christmas, New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. You can expect us to be delivering on all other holidays. Please check with your sales representative for any changes to these holiday closings.
Returns:
We encourage customers to inspect products upon delivery. In the event that you reject any products, doing so with our driver at the time of delivery is best. Our drivers are able to issue an invoice correction memo on the spot the day of delivery. If you would like to return product after receiving, Baldor has a 24 hour return policy on all products except protein products in which is mandated by our HACCP Plan, protein products
CANNOT be returned after they have been received, so please make sure that those products are inspected throughly before accepting. Contact your salesperson and have your invoice number when making the request for pick up or if you have any issue's with your delivery. All returns must be sent back in their original shipping package in re-sellable form, otherwise credit will not be issued.
Account Statements:
If you would like to receive your statement by mail on a monthly basis please let your salesperson know, otherwise statements are only sent out upon request.
Baldors Direct to Door delivery service:
Covers from lower Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, from Albany, New York down to lower New Jersey, Philadelphia (Eastern PA.) All of Connecticut, from central to eastern Massachusetts
