Queso Fresco

This cheese is a fresh, moist, spongy, crumbling cheese with a grainy texture. It has a mild and slightly salty taste.  It’s often compared to a really mild feta cheese. Crumble over refried beans, tacos, enchiladas, sopes, and even salads. Mix inside casseroles or soups if you want the cheese to pick up the flavor of the dish.
