Baldor boasts an expansive array of microgreens, grown for us in Florida and the Catskills. Before Baldor got involved in the production of microgreens they were only available straight from the farm which meant added Fedex delivery charges and very spotty supplies. Baldor virtually takes credit for making microgreens available to the masses and for developing many of the new varieties you see now such as micro amaranth, micro beets and micro pea shoots. Micro radish shoots, kohlrabi shoots and popcorn shoots are also all readily available.
Our sprout selection includes sunflower, radish and snow pea sprouts in addition to bean and alfalfa. .
Edible flowers and leaves are all the rage these days and show no signs of leaving the limelight. In addition to pansies, orchards and marigolds we occasionally procure fuchsia from the Catskills. Zucchini flowers are now widely available from California or Israel. Our fresh Asian leaves go far beyond the lemon leaf garnish to include kaffir lime leaves, shiso leaves, Ti and Tee Pee leaves.
